HEY FAM! I’VE BEEN BLESSED TO BE ON THIS EARTH FOR 25 YEARS, BUT IT WASN’T UNTIL THE LAST COUPLE WHERE I STARTED TO CHASE MY CURIOSITY. I STARTED TO SEEK QUESTIONS IN MY HEALTH, EGO, PURPOSE, LIFESTYLE, SUSTAINABILITY, SPIRITUALITY AND SO MUCH MORE. MY CURIOSITY HAS PUSHED ME TO DISCOMFORT AND OVER THESE LAST COUPLE YEARS I’VE COME TO NEW AMAZING REVELATIONS AND UNDERSTANDINGS ABOUT THIS BEAUTIFUL GAME OF LIFE. THE SOUL SEARCHING HAS RAISED MY AWARENESS AND I BECAME MUCH MORE INTENTIONAL. AND IT IS MY INTENTION TO SHARE WITH YOU ALL MY NEW AND EVER EVOLVING PERSPECTIVES. SO STRAP UP, AND LET’S GO FOR A RIDE.
*story time with Andrew 🙂
A while back, my mom shared with me that I was the reason she got into holistic health.
Why?
Because I came into this new and exciting world with a smorgasbord of health conditions. Starting with itchy, abrasive eczema and psoriasis all around my neck and on the insides of my elbows (Side Note: The doctors told my mom it most likely wouldn’t heal but to keep using the steroid creams). I had 2 near death asthma attack experiences (At the doctors, I had to blow out the candles using that funny machine…I always seemed to lose that game). I was allergic to pollen, mold, grass, dogs and CHOCOLATE :’( There were times my stomach screamed in horror and pain, most likely by some food I inhaled.
Then as I grew, more health implications knocked on the door…
I had a few real gnarly cases of athlete’s foot.
I had a yeast infection under my armpits (yeah…that was hot).
I had spontaneous canker sores pop up at the worst times (due to the acidic environment in my body).
I had horrible post nasal drip and sinus infections (coughing up bright yellow “flubbers” I’d like to call them).
My gut was OUT OF CONTROL. This might sound funny, because farts are naturally so, but when I tell ya I had a farting problem…ooooo baby! “Silent But Deadly” took on a whole new meaning.
I had my annual dose of strep throat.
Senior year in high school, I got the bloody Chicken Pox. (They sent a note to every student in the school to warn them that someone might have infiltrated the premises with a disease that no 18 year old should be getting…so yeah, I was that guy). The Pox were everywhere…and I do mean EVERYWHERE.
I got Mono, then Bronchitis. I got pretty damn comfortable drawing blood and having them rub vaseline on me belly as they did the ultrasound (incredibly satisfying by the way).
And I battled my own wars with depression.
The crazy part about this story…is that I never truly questioned any of this. Sure, I would take Sheila (my lady…aka my pickup truck) to the park at nights, look up at the stars and have a seemingly empty heart to heart asking “WHY ME?? What did I do to deserve this pain?”
But I was asking the wrong questions.
I was so used to sickness being a part of my life. “Oh, it’s flu season…BATTER UP!” “Oh allergy season is right around the corner, Who’s got the tissues?!?” “Strep again…you know what to do!” My mom struggles with gut problems, so I inherently looked at my problems as genetic and accepted it. My dad struggles with his sinuses, so when my sinuses were acting up, I accepted that as “Those pesky genetics again”. I wasn’t aware of this at the time, but I was a VICTIM to these dis-eases. I accepted this as being part of my life and guess what…it was. But did it have to be?
I’ve been, you could say, fairly unconscious most of my life. Floating around, reacting based on old conditioning. I was predictable and didn’t ask many questions. I just accepted life as it was.
But then things shifted.
I started to ask this beautiful question…”Why?”
I realized that I make thousands of decisions every day, and I control these decisions, but WHY was I actually making them? I never asked myself this before. Then I started to notice things I never had before. I was doing things that were completely sabotaging myself. Why the heck would I consciously want to sabotage myself??
I started to shift my mindset. Then something beautiful fell into my lap. I was introduced to a medical grade water ionizer: Kangen water. I was super curious at first, as I naturally started to become more curious in my life, so I dove into the science and research behind this machine and community and business model. I was FREAKING OUT the more I learned. I hopped on the train. I’ve never been so excited to spend the most money I’ve ever spent in my life up to that date…because of what happened next. I started drinking the water. After a couple weeks, my skin ERUPTED! I was geekin’ out.
“What the #%@!^*&&^$#^&# ?!?”
Then it hit me…my body was detoxing. The areas where my eczema so happily lived, became so much worse.
But WHY?
My body started to DETOX on a cellular level. Then the moment came where I sat down, took a breath, and asked…
“What the hell have I been putting into my body the past 22 years??”
“Why is this stuff even coming out of me?”
I didn’t use any skin products for my eczema after that, I just kept drinking the water, then I went plant-based, then I started to tap into other practices I will share with you shortly over the weeks, and after a good 6 months…my Eczema/Psoriasis is NO MORE.
I haven’t spat up dark yellow mucus in at least a year. I breathe seamlessly through that beautiful nose of mine. I don’t bomb an entire room with my destructive farts. I just ran through allergy season without picking up a tissue. I haven’t touched my inhaler in over a year. And my energy has dramatically shifted.
Kangen water was the catalyst for this incredible change and transformation (If you want to learn more about the water click HERE). I understood the value of community when introduced to a group of people who totally met my vibration and have inspired and challenged me in beautiful ways. I have set up a path to take life into my own hands. But most amazingly…I have healed so much when I thought there was no hope.
Now…I am not perfect. I get a nice friendly break out from time to time. My stomach might say “Andrew, mate, tone it down a bit!” Some days my energy is off, but that is the beauty of life. It is a constant journey. We need the lows to appreciate the highs. And in about a year and a half, I have gone through this incredible transformation and appreciated this journey.
I have been learning and educating myself on this concept of “Integrated Medicine”. Connecting the mind, body and soul to heal. Our bodies are truly AMAZING. The intricacies of how our cells communicate to each other, our bodies responses, and its ability to heal and regenerate. It is truly truly mind boggling.
But we are living in a time, so very disconnected from our bodies. Like me for most of my life.
When we get sick, that is our body sounding the alarms that we are doing something we shouldn’t be doing. Saying it’s time to make adjustments. It is not enough to patch up illness, or disease or sickness with medication. Our body is crying out because of the daily choices we are making. The foods we are eating. The liquids we are drinking. The thoughts we are thinking. The environments we are reacting to. And the plethora of other lifestyle factors that play such a major role in our health and wellbeing.
We have about 99% the same genes from years and years ago. Yet in the past 20 odd some years; obesity, diabetes, heart disease, autoimmune disease, mental health and so many others have SKYROCKETED.
WHY?
Well, there’s a new concept called EPIGENETICS, that I found out about through the legends Dr. Joe Dispenza and Bob Proctor.
This idea that our lifestyle, behavior and environment have truthfully more to say than our genetics. It is the shift in our gene expression.
We are not living the way we did hundreds or thousands of years ago. Food is being scientifically reconstructed. We have access to this 24/7, whereas we used to eat around the cycle of the sun. New advances in technology, while truly incredible, come with scary consequences. We spend more time indoors. We have to live in a highly demanding, stressful environment. Oppression and division is present. The list goes on.
Now…I am no expert. Or scientist. Or guru. Or doctor. Or physician.
I am Me.
I have a story.
I’ve made incredible improvements in my life by simply shifting the CHOICES I had been making.
I became curious and looked into why these decisions were helping me.
I listened and learned from these experts. And I integrated and played around with this information to see if it would work for ME.
Over the next weeks, I am going to share with you so many beautiful discoveries that have completely shifted my health and my perspective on health.
My goal is to spark a little fire inside of you.
To get you curious.
Then to do your own research and integration and see what works best for YOU.
That’s the thing about this “One size fits all approach” we have with many modern medicines (Side Note: I’m not here to bash doctors because modern medicine has saved lives and is critical to heavy duty health complications…but I don’t want us to be reliant on it when we can actually take our health back by shifting our everyday choices). And this “one size fits all” approach is outdated because…We are all so amazingly unique and different in our own ways and our bodies respond differently than others.
So find what works for you.
Follow me along on this journey.
The journey never stops. I will continue to learn and listen and adjust and feel into my body and play.
So, play around with these new practices and ideas.
And take your power back.
All love.
